Cao Cao, a fugitive wanted for the attempted assassination of the tyrannical Lord Regent, schemes his way into the rebelling Coalition.

Lu Bu, a warrior under the Lord Regent’s employ, struggles with a life of violence and envy as he falls in love with a woman who hates him.

With compassion, wit, or cruelty, they attempt to remake their lives as their paths converge.
